Hand-made sketches

Sketch #1

QUARK labratory complex seen from the dessert surface

the entrance is well hidden in a dune, the concrete walls are painted in a yellow-brown color so that they are nearly invisible

Sketch #2

Dr Smith's face

A rather bad sketch, but I can't draw any faces anyway. The width of the face would make the person Slavonic rather than American. I don't know whether this should be so.

Sketch #3

The lab's secure door

It is painted from a perspective from which you would only see a wall because the room between the elevator and the door is so small. The door slides open to the right. The iris scanner has a red and a green light. The red light is lit. On the right wall are three lights behind miky glass which itself is reinforced by thick steel bars. Between these white light sources are two similar sections which have red and black stripes painted on them. The opposite, invisible wall is identical to this one. The walls of the room are stainless steel, the floor could be raw concrete. The door is made of steel, too and does not have any windows.

Sketch #3A

Another version of the doorframe (a) and the suiting elevator door (b; the elevator would be required to have no doors attached to the cabin itself)
